Let’s talk music, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
The Mixed Tape: The 90s Girl Pop Mix
On my way to becoming an emo, pop/punk, ska loving teenager, I was a pop fan-atic tween. I was at the perfect age for the comeback of pop music in the 90s and fell deeply in love with acts like Britney Spears, The Spice Girls and Swedish powerhouse Robyn. I would buy their CDs in a catalogue my Dad always got in the mail and blasted them on my SONY boom box. I learned all their dance moves (kind of) and idolized these girls in music. Here is a playlist of the music I remember blasting with my best friend Aly at sleepovers and in my mom's Ford Windstar.
Robyn's "Show Me Love" was all I listened to for about a week straight back in '97.
Oh and I still sing these songs at karaoke on a regular basis. #musicrules.
