30 Seconds To Mars Premiere 'Up In The Air'
30 Seconds To Mars have premiered their short film "Up In The Air," and apparently it's going to be a treat.
“This short film is quite unlike anything we have ever done before. With contributions from Damien Hirst, Dita Von Teese, US Olympic gymnasts McKayla Maroney and Jordyn Wieber, Maxwell Snow, Neil Strauss, a lion, wolf, a snake (and yes some zebras), we take an epic, bizarre and hallucinogenic journey through a incredibly surreal landscape," says front man Jared Leto "It was exciting to explore new territory and once again work with the maniacal Bartholomew Cubbins at the helm."

Take a look.
30 Seconds To Mars' new album Love Lust Faith + Dreams is set for release May 21.

Fall Out Boy On Conan: 'This Is FOB'
Touché Fall Out Boy, touché. Last night FOB performed on Conan and took the opportunity to play homage to one of the best rock movies (and a personal favorite), This Is Spinal Tap.
“This one goes to eleven.” #musicrules.

During the performance of “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” Pete Wentz and Joe Trohman were stuck inside huge space pods, Stonehenge was incorporated, and Harry Shearer even joined them on stage! I would have loved it if Pete remained stuck in there the entire time like Derek was during “Rock N Roll Creation”.
Either way it was hilarious for fans of the film and was perfect for a late night performance. Take a look.
What do you think of the performance?

Fall Out Boy Post 'Young Volcanoes' Video
Update.
Well, here it is and caution the content is for a mature audience.
Fall Out Boy has already revealed they will be making a new music video for each song on Save Rock & Roll -- and today FOB posted this preview for the next song to have a video, "Young Volcanoes." I had originally told y'all I love the song and I am very excited to see what they do with storyline. I think we can all agree Fall Out Boy have a clear vision when they release anything, and their videos alway standout. From this short clip of "Young Volcanoes" and it looks like it will be amazing!
Fall Out Boy's "Young Volcanoes" lyrics here.
Let me know what you think.
No official word yet on when we will have the video, but I will guess by the end of the week we will have it. #musicrules.

Backstage Pass: Juicing With For The Foxes
Take a look at this new interview with Nick Francis of For The Foxes!
Because Nick is such a heath enthusiast, I asked him to show me how he makes his delicious, healthy, and nutritious juice while on the road! So, Nick gathered up all of his equipment (he travels with a juicer) and we setup shop backstage at The Roxy in Los Angeles. This takes dedication and I was thoroughly impressed with his ability to stay healthy while he is on tour. We will have more with the entire band tomorrow! #musicrules.

Paramore IS A Band & Number One
Paramore is number one!
According to Hits Daily Double Paramore’s self-titled LP has edged out JT from the top spot, and sold 104K in its opening week. HOLY MOLY! #musicrules.

While this is impressive their last album brand new eyes, debuted at number two with 185K in its opening week – and RIOT! opened at number 24 with 44K back in 2007. And if you are the only one on the planet who isn't getting down to songs like "Aint It Fun" and "Ankelbiters" -- you can buy it on iTunes!
The band have updated their offical site with the follwoing message to fans.

Coachella Day 3: Dancing In The Dark
The mighty Coachella Weekend 1 has come to an end and we sure had a lot of fun.
Yesterday started off with a must see band for me, The Gaslight Anthem playing the main stage. Gaslight was a nice change of pace after a day of electronic influenced music. They brought some rock and roll back to Coachella. I also caught The Lumineers on the main stage (who had a huge crowd despite it being their fist time playing Coachella); Grimes, Tanlines, Dinosaur Jr., Social Distortion and we wrapped our day up with Vampire Weekend.

I am not sure if I have ever disclosed this on Buzznet, but I love Vampire Weekend.
I was really bummed I wasn’t at SXSW long enough to see them close the festival this year, so yesterday I was excited to catch them play the main stage. Lucky for me they were just as entertaining, charming and handsome as I imagined they would be. One of the reasons I love Vampire Weekends is because of how clever and witty their music is lyrically and melodically – and they delivered it all live.

Their set began just as the sun was about to set; so halfway through the valley was under a dark blanket. That’s when the cool lighting and effects kicked in. The production that goes into Coachella is very elaborate and at night everything comes alive. Vampire Weekend’s lighting enhanced the set and projected the energy of their music -- and well, it just looked rad! I don’t think I ever stopped dancing! I enjoyed hearing songs off all their albums, including their forthcoming album, Modern Vampires In The City. When they went into hits like “A-Punk” and “Holiday” everyone was dancing in the dark, clapping their hands and singing along. It might have been the most fun I had all weekend.
(Also Paris Hilton decided to do a round in the general admission area with some paparazzi and her sister right when their set started, so there might be some photos of her walking around and me dancing behind her, lol.)
Overall Coachella was three days of live music with the opportunity to see artists who haven’t played together in years, acts I would never ever see under normal circumstances and an opportunity to discover new bands that are working their way up.
I have to admit, it’s a little disappointing to see the festival has also become a huge party where people just want to be "seen." Where they're more concerned about getting their photo taken in front of the iconic ferris wheel to upload to Instagram rather than seeing some of the incredible acts Goldenvoice is able to book for the weekend. Please promise me if you ever go you will enjoy all of the fantastic music and art they have put together for you. Those are the experiences you will remember forever. #musicrules.
Would you ever want to attend Coachella?

Coachella Day 2: Everything Looks Perfect From Far Away
Yesterday Coachella was the breeding ground for tons of band reunions – but the biggest highlight for me was seeing The Postal Service live for the first (and possibly only time.) It has been about eight years since Ben Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello and Jenny Lewis became active again as The Postal Service, and they gave the Coachella valley a very endearing performance.
After playing about three songs Ben greeted the crowd and said, “We’re an imaginary band, The Postal Service.” Although I was in a huge field with thousands of people I felt a connection to the performance. It’s been 10 years since The Postal Service released their only full-length album Give Up but even with only one LP, TPS managed to cultivate a loyal fan base. There was even a group of fans dressed in US Postal Service uniforms.

Ben and Jenny had some very sweet moments, putting down their instruments and singing to each other during “Nothing Better.” When they went into “Such Great Heights” later in the set everyone went crazy, but hearing that song live brought me right back to when I first heard it. 2004, summer, my buddy Ryan’s house while we were swimming in his above ground pool. I think it was the first time I had heard any electronic influences in music. It was a lunching off point for me to discover a whole new world of music and later and obsession with Death Cab For Cuties’ 2005 release Plans. Ben left us with an ambiguous statement regarding their return beyond this anniversary tour – so fingers crossed they get back to that second LP they were working on back in 2007.
So yes standing in the valley with the palm trees changing from orange, to red, to pink – and yellow balloons arched in the sky – made for a very special scene from far away.
You can watch the full-set that was streamed on YouTube below.
Will you try and catch The Postal Service live?
